BM Advisory adds new partner

Insolvency and restructuring firm BM Advisory has announced the hire of Rich Keley as partner.

Joining the firm from Australian-based insolvency and corporate restructuring firm McGrathNicol, Keley has 14 years of experience within the UK and Australian insolvency industries.

Keley said: “I am delighted to join the young and ambitious team at BM Advisory and I look forward to assisting Andy Pear and Mike Solomons in continuing to expand and drive the practice forward.”

Having qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte in 2002 and qualified as an insolvency practitioner in 2006, Keley has recently relocated back to the South East of England from Australia where he spent the last six years.

Andy Pear, partner at BM Advisory, said: “Over the past three years, BM Advisory has gone from strength to strength. The business has expanded organically, as the number of high level appointments have increased. In 2013 we further extended our geographic reach with the merger of a successful and well-established South East-based business recovery and insolvency business.

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Rich to BM Advisory. His complimentary skills in the insolvency and restructuring arena and his extensive network of contacts are an excellent fit with the group and his extensive knowledge and expertise in this field will further enhance our increasingly comprehensive offering to our clients and introducers.”

New insolvency partner at Moorfields Corporate Recovery

Moorfields Corporate Recovery has appointed Arron Kendall as partner at the firm.

Kendall has been at Moorfields since 2009, specialising in restructuring and rescue cases within the retail, manufacturing and property sectors.

Kendall said: “I am delighted to have received this promotion. The firm continues to go from strength to strength and has some exciting plans to expand and enhance its client service offering. I am looking forward to continuing to enhance the firm’s corporate offering and specialist service sectors.”

Phil Smith, partner at Moorfields, said: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Arron. He has a strong reputation amongst our clients for his commercial approach and enthusiastic drive to deliver exceptional results in challenging and complex cases. He will be a great addition to the partnership team and allow us to continue to offer a unique partner-led service.”

Kendall has overseen several high-profile administrations with Moorfields, including the administrations of Blockbusters, Hein Gericke and Teknoflex, as well as a distressed workout of a property portfolio with 11 properties in South East England.

Earlier this month the firm announced Neil Hickling and Claire Morris had joined the firm from the Worcester office of Smith and Williamson.
