Zolfo Cooper has confirmed the acquisition of Dock Street Capital Management UK LLP as part of the expansion of its financial advisory and restructuring services practice.
Dock Street UK is a provider of asset disposition and acquisition services to institutions and structured credit investors and will be renamed Zolfo Cooper Capital Management LLP.
Dock Street Capital Management LLC in the United States is unaffected by the deal with Zolfo Cooper.
Zolfo Cooper confirmed that there will be no change in the business undertaken by DSUK and asset liquidation and auction services on behalf of institutional clients will continue to be provided by Majharul Haque and Mark Williams.
Both will become partners in Zolfo Cooper Capital Management LLP which will be part of Zolfo Cooper Group in the UK and Europe.
Simon Freakley, chief executive officer at Zolfo Cooper, said: “This represents an exciting and highly relevant addition to our already comprehensive range of services and we look forward to working with both new and existing clients as we deliver these newly acquired skills.”
Haque was previously head of collateralised debt obligations and structured credit business for KBC Financial Products UK where he was responsible for a EUR 24 billion legacy multi-asset CDO portfolio.
