Kibble has been a partner at PwC since 2008 and has accumulated 20 years of consulting experience in the field of financial services strategy.
Before joining PwC Kibble was managing partner for Marakon Associates in the UK and studied at Oxford University before that.
He will take up his new position during March 2012 and will report to the group chief executive, Stephen Hester, and group finance director, Bruce Van Saun.
In a statement to the stock exchange, Hester welcomed Kibble to the group.
He added: “He brings strong experience in financial services strategy and we are pleased to have him join our team."
In his role at PwC, he advised client leadership teams on their highest value strategic issues, spanning corporate strategies and organisational design.
He authored PwC’s publications on the financial crisis and led engagements with major financial Institutions in responding to the emerging challenges.
