Paternity testing group "Who’z the Daddy" collapses 18 November 2011

Who’z the Daddy offered cut-price DNA test kits to help solve identity doubts over paternity. But the company’s goodwill and assets have since been bought by the Paternity Testing Company and will continue to trade.

The company’s new director, who did not want to be named, said: "It’s not for me to speak about the state of the company beforehand.

"It was liquidated and I have bought the goodwill and the assets of the company and we are now trading."

Who’z the Daddy offered DNA test kits – offering 99.99% accuracy – on its website for £99. Court-approved paternity and maternity tests, as well as siblingship tests which officially proved relationships for legal issues were also offered.

The company‘s registered office was in Tunbridge Wells but, according to its website and Facebook group, it also had a presence in Edmonton, Canada.

The website also displayed anonymous testimonials – one customer wrote: "I would like to thank you and your company for settling an argument which has been going on for nearly 12 years.

"Hopefully my son's father will accept his role now and they can have a relationship, so thank you so much. I will definitely be recommending you to other people."
