Patrick Brazzill, president of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA), – which has organised the event – confirmed the conference line-up.
Among the speakers will be Eric Leenders, executive director of retail at the British Bankers Association, Rosie Aujia, head of debt management at the Office of Fair Trading and Nick Howard, director of policy at the Insolvency Service.
The conference, which will be held on December 1, will aim to explore the latest developments and topics in the personal insolvency industry.
Trends in the IVA market, the recent Paymex case on VAT and the BIS and Treasury review of consumer credit and personal insolvency will all be discussed.
Charles Turner, partner at FRP Advisory, who will also be chairing the conference, said: "Our inaugural personal insolvency conference last year was deemed a success by those that attended and we are pleased to be returning to Manchester.
"We have had another turbulent and financially challenging year for consumers, small businesses and for professional advisers working in the sector.
"This conference aims to equip attendees with up to date commentary and thinking by some key influencers."
The event is also one of the IPA’s 50th anniversary events.
