Scottish Deli chain collapses into administration 12 January 2009

The deli was aiming for a store in every major UK town and city, but the discretionary nature of its products and high expansion costs meant the company ran out of money.

175 of the firm's 205 employees have been made redundant, and the administrators are now seeking a buyer for the brand and three remaining stores.
