Sian Philips, solicitor at Truro law firm Foot Anstey Hancock Caffin, has qualified as an insolvency practitioner with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.  Philips is part of Foot Anstey Hancock Caffin’s team of insolvency lawyers who advise insolvency practitioners, creditors, directors and individuals.

Ian Williams, General Counsel at law firm Bryan Cave, has been named vice president of international affairs of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI).

“I am extremely pleased to accept this position with ABI. ABI now has more than 12,000 members worldwide and its international programs are an important element of its plans for the future,” Williams said.

Williams, the first person outside North America to join ABI’s executive team, has chaired ABI conferences in London, Berlin and Frankfurt. He will chair the 09 International Insolvency Symposium in Paris on October 9th.
