The full list of winners of the Credit Awards 2016 has now been revealed, after a glittering ceremony at the Grosvenor House hotel in Mayfair.
This year’s event, which featured TDX Group as headline sponsor, saw entertainment from host Omid Djalili, musical impressionist Jess Robinson and live music from 10-piece band the Old Dirty Brasstards.
In its 17th year, the scheme received a record-breaking number of entries across categories representing the length and breadth of the marketplace.
This year several new categories were introduced to match the continuing evolution of the industry, such as Best Fintech Company, Best Car Finance Broker, Best Vulnerable Customer Strategy, Customer Service Champion, Best Commercial Finance Provider and Best Anti-Fraud & Verification Technology.
The new categories also included a special judges award for Best Financial Services Provider, which went to Nationwide Building Society for its exemplary customer service record.
Thanks to the generosity of guests, the night raised more than £21,000 for The Children’s Trust, which was the chosen charity for this year’s scheme. A cheque was presented to the charity following a silent auction for prizes including a VIP weekend at the Singapore Grand Prix, tickets for ladies day at Royal Ascot and a Top Gear Iceland driving experience.
The ceremony also saw the announcement of a major rebrand for Credit Today’s magazine and website. The first step of the rebrand was taken this morning as the website was relaunched as Credit Strategy. The magazine will be redesigned and revamped as Credit Strategy later this summer.
