The finalists for the 2016 Credit Awards sponsored by TDX Group have been announced, following an extensive shortlisting process across the scheme’s 27 categories.
A panel of 16 judges now faces the task of choosing winners from among 158 finalists, including among them some 103 separate companies and individuals.
Credit Today in fact received more nominations in 2016 than any other year in its entire 17-year history, following the evolution of the award categories.
Half of the scheme’s categories were changed to reflect market changes – including new categories to target technology developments more specifically within the industry such as Best Anti-Fraud and Verification Technology, as well as categories to reflect growing parts of the market, such as fin-tech and peer-to-peer lenders.
Industry focus on good customer outcomes and people management has spearheaded the new categories – with Customer Service Champion as well as Best Company to Work For proving to be popular categories.
This year the evening will be hosted by an award-winning comedian, a female musical impressionist and a live band. Precise details will be revealed next month.
Luke Broadhurst, managing director at Credit Today, said: “It is heartening to see the industry supporting their awards scheme in so many numbers.
“The market has been through many changes over the last year and the shortlist has a sterling array of really good work that the credit industry has been undertaking, to ensure it stays at the very top of its game.”
The winners will be awarded their prizes at London’s Grosvenor House hotel, at a black tie dinner held on 12 May 2016. You can see the full shortlist here.
