The insolvency profession’s largest awards scheme has undergone a name change – to The I&R Awards 2015: Championing best practice in Restructuring, Recoveries and Rescue.
This year the scheme has a new logo, new judges, new categories and a new strapline to reflect the profession’s different strands.
Sponsored for the eighth year running by the Capa consultancy, the name has evolved to emphasise the profession’s role in restoring sustainable businesses, helping to fuel the economy and providing financial rehabilitation for individuals.
Now fully established as the most widely recognised awards event for insolvency practitioners and business recovery specialists, the scheme for 2015 will display a true recognition of achievements across the entire panoply of the industry.
Creditor engagement and involvement are a key theme this year. This will be recognised in a new category, the Creditor Engagement Award, and forms part of many other categories.
Co-chair of the scheme Bob Pinder, regional director, professional standards, at the ICAEW, said: “We have a world-leading insolvency and rescue profession in the UK. The I&R Awards scheme provides the opportunity for the profession to recognise those individuals and firms who demonstrate commitment, excellence and best practice within the industry.”
Fellow co-chair Stephen Allinson, consultant at Lester Aldridge Solicitors, said: “I am very pleased once again to have the honour of co-chairing the judging panel for these awards.
“I have seen the scheme grow year on year and I truly believe that it recognises best practice in so many areas of the profession. With judges drawn from all areas of the industry, there is no doubt that all winners deserve their accolade.”
Entries are now open for the awards, which this year take place the Hilton Park Lane Hotel, London.
