A Manchester-based printing and design firm has been sold out of administration through a pre-pack deal.
Armin & Butler Limited entered administration earlier this month following a period of tighter margins and an increase in competitors.
Jason Elliott and Craig Johns of Cowgill Holloway Business Recovery were appointed as joint administrators of the company on 4 September and completed a sale of the business the same day.
The sale to Boss Direct Limited secured the jobs of 20 staff and the company will continue to operate from its Openshaw base.
Elliot, partner at Cowgill Holloway Business Recovery, said: “Due to some unfortunate circumstances the business ran into trouble and could no longer justify trading. But we’re pleased to say that we have been able to secure a sale of the business and assets.
“This means that Armin & Butler will remain a trusted name in the print industry for the foreseeable future under the new purchaser, Boss Direct, who have a wealth of knowledge and experience within the sector.
“The operational synergies between the two companies will enable rapid and successful integration, and their combined expertise will ensure continued growth.”
