An ecological-friendly executive car service firm has gone in to administration.
London-based Ecoigo Limited entered administration in the face of “strong competition”.
Simon Thomas and Nicholas O’Reilly of Moorfields Corporate Recovery LLP were appointed joint administrators to the company on 27 March.
Thomas, joint administrator and partner at Moorfields, said “Unfortunately the recession has seen a number of businesses face financial difficulty despite having a strong customer proposition.
“Ecoigo faced strong competition from convenience style taxi firms but with its strong proposition, provides a good opportunity for potential purchasers.”
Ecoigo Limited continues to trade as administrators seek a sale of the business. The firm’s assets include its fleet of 90 Toyota Prius and Hybrid Mercedes vehicles.
