A Yorkshire manufacturer of beef jerky products has been sold out of administration, via a pre-pack deal.
Bare Earth Ltd entered administration earlier in February after losing two of its major retailers.
Gareth Rusling and Chris White of The P&A Partnership were appointed joint administrators of the firm on February 18.
The administrators secured a sale of the business upon appointment to Mariani Foods Europe Limited.
Rusling, partner at The P&A Partnership, said: “Bare Earth’s products are a familiar brand in the UK and are recognised for producing a quality, healthy alternative meat snack.
“This deal will enable the brand to grow again and, most importantly, everyone in the business has been able to keep their job.”
Formed in 2003, Bare Earth produces a variety of meat snacks, including beef jerky. The company relocated to new premises in Leeds last year.
Despite a growing brand reputation and annual turnover of approximately £1.1m, Bare Earth suffered a 0 drop in sales as a result of losing two major retailers.
