A group of London-based radio stations has entered administration.
Operating primarily in West London, the Sunrise Radio Group Limited and its subsidiaries London Media Company Limited, Kismat Radio Limited, Time FM 107.5 Limited and Tristar Broadcasting Limited, specialised in broadcasting to an Asian audience.
David Dunckley and Nicholas Wood of Grant Thornton were appointed as joint administrators.
A statement from the administrators said: “Following the companies’ formal insolvencies they are continuing to trade for a short period of time and remain on air whilst we explore potential sale options for the stations.”
Buzz Asia Limited, which trades as Sunrise Radio 2, has not affected by the administration appointment.
Launched in 1989, the company claims be the first 24 hour Asian radio station to appear in the UK, and the first independent 24 hour Asian station in the world
