Jeremy Bowden, a Birmingham-based insolvency practitioner, has passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Bowden died aged 54 on 16 December 2013.
Beginning his career at a London law firm in 1985, Bowden became head of restructuring at DLA Piper in Birmingham, where he worked for 21 years.
Bowden then moved on to Clarke Willmott, advising clients on all aspects of corporate turnaround, restructuring and insolvency, before joining Cobalt Business Support and Restructuring as a director.
Chris Rawstron of Irwin Mitchell, previously managing partner of DLA Piper’s Birmingham office, described Bowden as “a life force and a real character”.
A keen fisher and shooter, Bowden also completed five marathons during his lifetime, including the London and New York marathons.
Bowden’s funeral will take place at Woodlands Crematorium in Coleshill on Thursday 9th January 2014 at 2pm. Donations to Macmillan Cancer Support and Mary Ann Evans hospice are welcomed.
