FRP Advisory has expanded its operations into Scotland with three new offices and 28 new staff.
Tom MacLennan and Iain Fraser, formerly of RSM Tenon have joined the restructuring and recovery firm as partners.
MacLennan and Fraser ran the Scottish restructuring practice of RSM Tenon, the former accountancy firm now part of Baker Tilly.
Both of the new partners have worked with distressed businesses for over 25 years each.
Including the three new offices, FRP Advisory now has 13 offices across the UK, with 16 staff based in Edinburgh led by Tom MacLennan and 10 staff divided between the Aberdeen and Inverness offices supervised by Iain Fraser.
Geoff Rowley, senior partner at FRP Advisory, said: “The arrival of Tom, Iain and the team of advisors they bring to FRP Advisory is testament to the demand for our solutions-driven advice for management teams, lenders, investors and other key institutions we advise across the entire UK.”
Tom MacLennan, partner and head of the Scottish region at FRP Advisory, said: “While Scotland and England & Wales may differ in some of the legal procedures involved in insolvency-led restructuring, management and lenders on both sides of the border share a common need for professional, practical commercial advice – a skill set that unites us with our new found partners across FRP Advisory.”.
With the arrival of MacLennan and Fraser, FRP Advisory has now hired 12 new partners over the last two year, bringing the total team to 215 professionals.
