Chartered accountancy firm Milsted Langdon has continued its expansion after merging with fellow Bristol-based firm Geoff Gollop & Co Ltd.
The merger was completed on May 31, with all staff and clients from Geoff Gollop & Co transferred to Milsted Langdon’s office at One Redcliff Street.
Geoff Gollop, former Lord Mayor of Bristol, was asked to continue his current role as the city’s elected Deputy Mayor and has joined Milsted Langdon as director.
Gollop said that merging with a larger firm was “the most sensible course of action”.
He explained: “Milsted Langdon held similar views to mine in terms of its personal approach and the quality of service and work provided to clients. I am confident that this merger is in the best interest of all my clients.”
Roger Isaacs, partner at Milsted Langdon, said: “Everyone has been working hard to ensure a seamless transition and it will be very much business as usual for clients, although they will now be able to benefit from the additional skills and expertise that Milsted Langdon offers.”
In September 2012 Milsted Langdon opened a new office in Bath in response to increased demand for its services within the local market.
Milsted Langdon opened its first office in Taunton in 1988, expanding into Yeovil in 1997 and then Bristol in 2004.
